- [Instructor] With the Leed v.4, the definition of Green Building Products is changed from materials with a single environmental attribute, such as a carpet with recycled content or locally sourced drywall, to materials with multiple environmental attributes that minimize environmental harm throughout their life-cycle. Building Product Disclosure and Optimization Credits reward project teams for selecting products from manufacturers who have verified environmental life-cycle impacts. There are three Credits that fall under the Building Product Disclosure and Optimization topic. Environmental Product Declarations, sourcing of raw materials, and material ingredients. Leed Credit Environmental Product Declarations encourages the use of products and materials for which life-cycle information is available and rewards project teams for selecting products from manufacturers who have verified and disclosed this information.
