- [Narrator] Responsible sourcing of raw materials is about specifying and procuring products and materials that have been extracted or sourced in a responsible manner. Manufacturers of these materials provide life cycle information and verify that the materials have environmentally, economically, and socially preferable life cycle impacts. LEED credit building product disclosure and optimization, responsible sourcing of raw materials offers two options for project teams. The first option is to procure materials from manufacturers that disclose environmental and social impact of their operations by issuing an annual corporate social responsibility report. A corporate social responsibility, CSR, report, communicates an organization's environmental and social goals, initiatives, and performance on an annual basis.
