Customizing the taxonomies' settings

- [Narrator] With our labels defined, let's scroll down to settings. These primarily have to do with displaying and searching for the taxonomy. Again, we have great descriptions and default values for each. Most we'll keep at the default value. Let's go ahead and walk through them. Public, Public Queryable, and Show UI all have to do with whether users can see and query the taxonomy, both on the front end and in the dash board. Hierarchical allows us to create parent/child relationships between the taxonomy terms. For example, if we wanted a size of big and then a child size of 1000 plus employees, we can do that here. We are going to keep it at the default value of false. Show in menu determines if the taxonomy will show up in the admin menu under the post type it's associated with. Show in nav menu allows us to make the taxonomy available for selection in the navigation menus. Query Var is used in custom code. We'll leave everything at the default here.
