- [Narrator] In this lesson, we'll look at how to properly add style customizations to your child theme, so that you get the results you want without any surprises. Whether you're customizing an existing Genesis child theme or building your own, one thing is certain, it's got to have a style sheet. And that's what we're looking at here. The, "style.css" file that lives in the Genesis-sample theme root directory. This is the file that makes the site look good. You'll find font specifications, layout widths, colors, the entire wardrobe for your sites style. Let's take a quick tour of the style sheet for the Genesis-sample theme. So at the top, we've got some basic information. We've got the theme name, author, inversion number. From there, we have an organized table of contents showing what all is included in the style sheet. And then finally, at the end of the table of contents here, we have our media queries and…
