- [Instructor] Since WP-CLI uses the command line, you'll need a command line program. Luckily there are default tools for Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as a few nicer tools we can look at. But first, let's look at the system requirements for WP-CLI. You will need a UNIX-like environment. That means macOS, Linux, FreeBSD or Cygwin. There is limited support in Windows environments. And as of Windows 10, you can run UNIX-like commands or UNIX commands on the operating system. You'll also need PHP 5.6 or later. You'll also need WordPress 3.7 or later. Versions older than the latest WordPress release may have degraded functionality. So be sure to keep your WordPress installation up to date For the purposes of these videos, we'll be working on a Mac or on a UNIX environment through our server. If you're using Windows, Cygwin is a UNIX emulator that you can use. Or, again, if you're using Windows 10 you can run UNIX commands on…
