- [Narrator] One of the great things about WordPress is the ability to extend its functionality through plugins. Whether you need to add forms to your site, e-commerce capability or social sharing icons, there are plugins, many, many plugins you can use to extend your site's capabilities. While plenty of WordPress plugins work with Genesis, even if they don't explicitly say so, there are some Genesis specific plugins that I wanted to highlight for you. From the WordPress.org plugin directory, you can search for Genesis and see a number of plugins come up. Some of these are created by StudioPress while others are created by other Genesis developers in the community. As a general rule of thumb, when you're searching WordPress.org for plugins, Genesis or not, you want to see that the plugin has been tested with a recent version of WordPress and has been updated within the past year or so.
