And for this reason, making a step by step project course on how to build an intranet site from scratch makes little sense. Instead, this course is a walk-through of an example intranet site built with the most common features found on such sites. Over the next three chapters we'll explore this site in detail. And I'll explain how everything is wired together and how I've configured the different components to work in a seamless fashion. In chapter two, we'll look at user management and how to make an intranet site private, even when it's live on the web. In chapter three we'll look at a long list of common features found on intranet sites and how to set them up.
