- [Instructor] Running an offline intranet site requires quite a bit of manual file management and in this chapter, I'll show you some practical examples of how this can be done, starting with manually installing plugins and themes. Imagine the following scenario. You have an intranet site running on a local network and the intranet site has no access to the internet. How do you know? Well, when you visit the backend, and go look at a panel like this one, the WordPress Events and News panel, you'll see these errors. HTTP error, a valid URL was not provided. Now let's imagine you've discovered a plugin you need to add to the site. So you go to the plugins tab and add new. And from here, you just get a PHP error saying something is wrong. What's wrong is we don't have access to the internet or the site doesn't have access to the internet so it can't go into the WordPress plugin directory and find the plugins that are…
