Migrating files to your live site
- [Instructor] We've been creating this theme in our local environment. That means that anyone who's visiting our site isn't seeing our new child theme. We need to upload all of our files to our live site. When you're moving a child theme, there's usually dozens, if not hundreds of files. So I recommend an FTP program, or zipping up your child theme and then uploading through the Wordpress admin. So I can go to themes, add new, and then upload from my live site. Once all the files are uploaded, you can activate your child theme and you'll be done. However, if you've made any content changes, like changing menus, your site title, or you changed a logo, you'll have to do a bit more work. You still start by uploading all of your files. Then, under appearance menus, you'll click live preview on your theme. Click live preview, and this will open the customizer. From here, we can take our time customizing all of our settings.
