Secure your WordPress site by disabling XML-RPC - WordPress Tutorial
From the course: WordPress: Building a Secure Site
Secure your WordPress site by disabling XML-RPC
- [Instructor] You can further secure your WordPress site by disabling XML-RPC. And what does that mean? XML-RPC is a procedure that allows you to post on your blog remotely using web blog clients like Windows Live Writer or the WordPress mobile app. It used to be disabled by default, but in recent versions of WordPress it's enabled by default. To disable it yourself, you can use the Disable CML-RPC plugin. Or you can paste this chunk of code into your .htaccess file.
