- [Instructor] A website only has a couple of requirements to make it viewable online. We have a domain name and now it's time for the most important part, a server. When you purchase a server from a company, so you can stow your website, it's called hosting. At the most basic level, this is a publicly-accessible computer that stores and manages connections to your website. There are lots of different hosting companies and many that specialize in WordPress hosting. That can mean features in place to easily install WordPress or dedicated resources to manage WordPress uptime and security. When choosing the right host, there are a few ways to evaluate.
