Taking the site live
- [Narrator] All right, you've done your development, performed testing and you're ready to go live. This process will vary depending on your hosting provider and how you set up your staging site. But it could be done one of a few ways. If your host supports staging sites, it could simply be the click of a button to swap staging and live, or completely replace live with staging. If you are working in a hidden directory on your server, you might have to redirect your domain to that directory, or use WP Migrate DB Pro to move the entire site to the live domain. Finally, if you are developing a brand-new site in secret, you might just need to turn off maintenance mode to make it live. Either way, once the site is live in its new location, you'll need to perform a detailed round of quality assurance testing. Click every menu item, read every page, make sure all images and other media loads and follow every link and test the site…
