- [Instructor] So let's talk about tools that help you secure your WordPress login screen. WordPress site security always begins with best practices but luckily there are also a lot of tools that can help you keep your site even more secure. Think of them as extra padlocks on your front door. One plugin you can use is called Limit Login Attempts. What this does is shut down your WordPress login form if someone tries to log in and fails too many times. Oftentimes the way that WordPress websites become vulnerable is through a bot, which will try tons and tons of different password combinations very quickly until it gets us the right one, this is called a brute force attack. But if you lock your login screen after three attempts automatically that bot has no chance of getting in.
