- [Instructor] To work with the WordPress sites you've set up under Local by Flywheel you first have to start up Local itself and then start individual sites you'd want to work with. Just a note here, when you start up Local from scratch it takes quite a while both on Windows and on Mac. That's because an entire environment needs to be spun up and everything needs to be put together. So the first time I opened Local on my computer after installing it, I was sitting there going hmm, is something wrong? Is this stalled? What is going on here? The reality is it just takes a while for it to spin up. So when you start up your development process start Local then go do something else and then come back when it's ready to go. Alright once Local is up and running, you can now select the sites you want to work with from the Local Sites list over here on the left-hand side. You'll see that right now the site is not running.
