- [Instructor] So far we've talked about using a custom home page that relies on widgets to lay it out and a home page that displays a collection of posts. In this lesson, we'll look at creating a home page with the block editor. This is a new option we have as of WordPress 5.0, and I think it's really cool. Now here I'm using the Genesis sample theme, and if you'll recall from when I activated this theme earlier, it included a feature called a one-click theme set up. And that process generated the page we're currently looking at. If I go to edit this page, we can see that the page is created with the block editor, and of course I could go in and edit any of these blocks that were automatically generated for me during the one-click theme set up. But what if you're not using a theme with one-click theme set up? No problem. As long as you're using at least WordPress 5.0 and Genesis 3.1, you can create a brand new page,…
