- [Instructor] We've looked at a lot of behind the scenes configuration options so far. Let's get to the fun work of talking about your homepage. This is often the first impression a visitor gets of your site, and I found, people largely select themes based on the appearance of a homepage. There are several options available for how a homepage layout works. By default, in WordPress, homepage shows a list of blog posts in reverse chronological order. Depending on what you're going for, that may work fine for you, but usually people want something with a little more visual appeal. Your options for laying out a homepage and the type of homepage you have will be largely determined by your theme.
