- [Instructor] Now, you know that a CDN plays an important role in site speed, specifically in how quickly data is delivered from one location to another. When it comes to the internet faster is always better, right? No doubt about that. But not every type of website will benefit equally from a CDN. In this lesson, we'll cover which types of websites are best suited for content delivery network. The first is a media-heavy site, maybe an entertainment site or online gaming. If your site is graphics-heavy or serves a lot of media files, images, videos, et cetera, using a CDN is a good move. Cached versions of all those files can be served from the CDN, reducing request to your web host. Resource sites can also benefit from CDNs.
