Using the quick menu and interface lock

- We've looked at a number of different commands and customizations so far, and many of them have required a trip into the X-T1's menu system. Most of the features we've looked at can be accessed from the quick menu. Hit the Q button, and the quick menu will pop up. You can navigate it using the D-pad on the back of the camera and select different settings for the currently highlighted option by turning either command wheel. Quick menu is dramatically faster than navigating the normal menu system. So this is a great option to familiarize yourself with. By default, most of the items in the quick menu are for JPEG shooters. You've got autofocus, zone select at the top and white balance select, but everything else in this upper section is for configuring JPEG processing. That's great if you're a JPEG shooter and having quick access to these critical image quality controls is very handy. The bottom row is highlighted in grey. I'll be honest.
