- [Instructor] After creating a campaign in Google Ads, the next step is to create an ad group as part of that campaign. Ad groups determine the details of how you would like to target users when advertising on YouTube. So let's go ahead and let's move back over to Google Ads. Okay, so right now I'm right where we left off when we finished creating our first campaign, as we scroll down this page, it rolled us right into creating our first ad groups. So let's just continue scrolling here. And the first thing that we need to do is give our ad group a name. This needs to be a descriptive name just for our own internal use so that we know which ad group we're looking at when we have multiple ad groups later on. For this example, we'll name this ad group US Basketball because we're going to target users located in the United States that are interested in basketball.
