- [Instructor] `Before we start setting up an ad campaign to run on YouTube, it's important to understand how advertising on YouTube works and what's actually happening in the background. First of all, let's take a quick look at the different options available to us in regards to advertising on YouTube. Right now, I'm at support.google.com and I have an article pulled up that shows us where we can place ads on YouTube and explains some of the details about how each ad works. So as you can see in this list, we can put display ads on YouTube, so we can actually have ads that aren't videos. You see all the ads are actually highlighted in red on the screen, so the display ad would be to the right of the actual video in the sidebar of YouTube. We can also have our overlay ads which show at the bottom of the videos. We can have a whole bunch of different types of video ads. So we can have skippable video ads, non-skippable video ads,…
