Adding thickness to a model with subdivision levels

- Now if you remember in my video last week I said that you can't thicken a model with subdivision levels. Well i lied there is a way around this with a little bit of trickery. So let's see how it works. So a lot of times you might find yourself sculpting on an object that is supposed to have a uniform thickness, like an article of clothing. You wouldn't want to add thickness to begin with and then start sculpting details on the clothing cause you'll run into problems with the front of the thickness passing through the back of the object. All kinds of different problems can happen so what you wanna do is start sculpting on things like that while they have no thickness and then add the thickness later. And we're going to do this in a way that maintains the subdivision levels. Let's see what it looks like. So we've got the Athena model open and what I wanna be working on is just her shirt, the blouse. So I've got that selected and let's turn on dynamic solo so we see only the shirt and…
