- Even though we have our blend mode set correctly, we still need to go in and adjust the properties of the layers to make sure that each one works perfectly with the overall composition. OK, so let's get moving. The first layer that I want to address is the Rim Light. Let's click on the Rim Light, and we're going to add a Layer Mask to the Rim Light. Make sure we have a Brush set to the black color, and we're going to get rid of the lights that bounce on the face. And the reason why is 'cause I don't think realistically you'd have a lot of that rim light bouncing on the face like that and even this back horn, I'm just going to take that down a little bit because there will be shadow areas that won't allow the light to bounce in some of those areas, so it makes sense for us to kinda soften that and take out some of those really bright lights, especially down here. We've got this shadow area. Get rid of all this. This might not run up the sleeve like it's doing. So once we've softened…
