Brainstorming design ideas
- [Instructor] One of the great things about ZBrush is that you can use it like a three dimensional sketch pad. At this phase of the project, you don't have to worry about details, or keeping things clean, or using good topology. You can just get as many ideas as possible out without getting bogged down by technical precision. In this video, I'll show you some of the quick and dirty techniques that I use to make fast design decisions. Okay, so we've already got our blade made, so let's go ahead and start making things for the body of the knife. I'll just go down to Append and, we'll just add a Cube3D. Let's go ahead and select this to make this the active Subtool, and let's make it so that it is nice and neat topology for modeling. Again, if we turn on Polyframe, you can see it's not very conducive to modeling, so, let's do this a different way than we did with the knife. Let's go to Initialize. And let's turn on Qcube, but let's set the resolution of all the different subdivisions…
