Canvas and navigation

- [Instructor] The canvas refers to all this area between menus and the trace. It's essentially the space where your 3D objects will live. Naturally, this is where it will spend most of the time. We need to learn how to navigate it. There are a couple of ways to perform the same action. For example, to rotate around the object, you can left click and drag anywhere in the canvas. Alternatively, you can use the right click and drag to rotate. The second option is my preferred method as you can click anywhere on the model to rotate. Whereas with the first option, since left click is used to scope and effect the mesh directly, you are limited to rotate the model only from the empty canvas. To pan or move the camera, hold ALT + Left Click from any empty space, or you can use ALT + click from anywhere in the canvas including on top of the model.
