- Good characters are usually backed by a good story. And sometimes where your character is positioned in its environment helps develop the story. Okay, so the first thing we need to figure out is composition. Now, I'm taking a look at this background image, I realize that our creature is kind of covering up the cool parts of this background. And it is more about the creature, but I really like the idea of these meteors coming down and we can utilize it to help us tell the story because it would make sense for this guy to be running away from these meteors that are about to touch down on his planet. So, I kinda like him being somewhere off screen to the side here. And, what we wanna do now is find a good composition. Let's click on the crop tool. And in the crop tool, we have this nice little grid up here. We can select on the Rule of Thirds and now that we have that, click down on our image and these little intersections, these four intersections that you see in the center, these are…
