Creating an alpha

- [Instructor] Okay so we use the same technique as before. All we did was replicate that in the other cushions and I also added a scene to our pillows so that we can begin the process here. And since the pillows don't have a lot of resolution, this is a great opportunity for us to learn how to create an alpha inside of Zbrush and use that to quickly sculpt details in our models. So we're not going to use this right now. Instead, I'm going to create a new plane. And let me just rotate this, there you go. And then we're going to turn this into Polymesh3D because we need to sculpt some drapes here and then we'll turn that into our alpha. So I'm going to convert this to Polymesh3D by clicking on make Polymesh3D and then it's gone because I'm facing the wrong way. So let me just rotate this, there you go. And then we can subdivide it a few times by pressing Ctrl + D. Let me try three times, I think it's enough. And then all we…
