Creating wood grain

- [Instructor] We're now ready to begin sculpting the wood branches that are supporting our scarecrow. What I'd like to do is demonstrate a technique outside of the scarecrow, initially. It'll be a little bit easier because working on a cylinder, with woodgrain, can be a little bit trying and I prefer to show you on more of a flat surface, the demonstration. So I'm going to go over to the PolyMesh tool and select on a flat 3D plane. I'll make that a PolyMesh and I'll divide up my Geometry a couple of times. Working with woodgrain you need to have a high resolution, that's critical. Now, I'm going to be sculpting with a brush called the Slash brush and if you're not familiar with it let me kind of demonstrate a little bit of the tool. Slash brush is kind of similar to the Orb_Cracks in a way. However, you notice we have a very uniform pattern so when I'm creating woodgrain, for example, even though I am working on a Wacom tablet and can get fat and skinny lines, this particular brush…
