Decimation Master - ZBrush Tutorial

Decimation Master
- [Instructor] One of the key aspects of working with insert meshes, especially during the kitbashing process, is to keep the meshes light, to be able to work faster. So, when we create our custom set of objects, it's important to keep in mind the polycount of each piece. Fortunately, we also have the Decimation Master plugin. This allows us to significantly reduce the amount of polygons in each object, while also keeping the shape and most of the details. These two pieces, for instance, that I have in here show the before and after of the decimation process. The one on the left is the original model with very high polycount, and obviously details. And the one on the left is the same object after being decimated. So, a good practice to ensure that the polycount levels don't go too high when working with the kitbashing technique, is to decimate every piece before we create the kit or the insert mesh. Go ahead and create your own object, or you can load the decimation on the score…
