Deleting part of a model

- [Instructor] In this chapter we're getting into some features that can affect your models in very controlled ways as opposed to the sculptural and organic ways that we've looked at so far. First, let's take a look at how to delete part of a model. Now, this happens a lot when a model has parts that you just don't want anymore. So let's look at the steps you need to get rid of it for good. If your model has subdivision levels, this will work. There's just a couple extra steps you need to take. So this shark has subdivision levels, so I'll just hit Shift + D a few times to go down to my lowest subdivision level. Now let's identify what area we want to delete. So, we could do a selection Control + Shift + Click and drag. And let's say we want to delete the tail, so we want to make that hidden. Another way to do the same thing is to mask off the part you want to keep. And then go down to Visibility and Hide PT.…
