- [Narrator] Here's another way to make geometry in addition to the way we learned in the last video. This technique builds off of polygons that already exist. So let's see how. A quick note about loading files. Just like with the live surface mode, Maya doesn't remember if you were in the Quad Draw tool when you save. So if you're loading an exercise file, or your own file, you'll need to get back into the Quad Draw tool under the modeling toolkit, in order to see what I see on my screen. Once you've already got some geometry created, sometimes you're gonna find that new geometry that you want to create is basically an extension off of what you already have. So, there's a few ways to do this. Usually it's done by holding down the tab key. So let's hold down tab and then just click and drag from some of these edges, and just pull out some new geometry. So instead of clicking out new vertices and filling them with polygons, we just hold down tab and click and drag. Now you'll notice it…
