- [Instructor] Handling files in ZBrush can get a bit confusing because you have different types of files such as a project or Z tool. So let me clarify the differences and how you should handle the different formats. First off, when you save a model the preferred approach is always to save it as a Z tool. So for example, this ZPR is a project not a Z tool, so if you want to see tools we can click on Tool here and then select a demo head which is a Z tool, so ZTL. So that's a Z tool. And basically ZBrush saves your model and all its sub tools when it's a Z tool. So if you're working on a single model with eight sub tools you want to use this approach. When you save a project, it can save multiple Z tools at once and is a much bigger file. So if we go to the Projects here, these are all projects ZPR, so if we click on the demo soldier, that's a ZPR. So if you have a scene with multiple Z tools then this is the way to go.…
