Insert brushes
- [Instructor] One of the best ways to explore design options and to quickly build shapes is the use of IMM brushes, which I left out from the video about the brush system. So let's take a look at what IMM brushes are and how to use them. I'm going to select the head of our creature and zoom in a little bit. Now let's go ahead and select the IMM Primitive brush at the bottom of the UI. And IMM stands for Insert Multi Mesh brush. So what this allows you to do is insert basic geometrical forms into your mesh. So let's click and drag here on the side of the head. Something like that. As you can see, the new geometry is just a sphere, but the great thing about this process is that ZBrushCore automatically masks out everything but the inserted mesh. So after inserting the mesh, we can use the Gizmo for instance, and we can move and reposition the sphere, and maybe scale it down a little bit. And this could be the base for the ear of our character. Okay, something like that will work. And…
