Laying out UVs with UVmaster
Now that the model has a patchwork of Polygroups, we're one step closer to having all the color information turned into a texture map. Next, we need to layout the UV's so that the textures can have a 2D image mapped onto it. Let's try it out. So the model is broken up into Polygroups and it's just kind of a jumble, just a patchwork and that's fine. UV Master just likes to have it broken up into smaller Polygroups. So let's hit Shift+F to turn off our wire frame. So let's go to UV Master. It's in ZPlugin. Let's close Decimation Master here. Open up UV Master. And there's just a couple simple settings. Let me get this back here. Okay the model is now symmetrical. We can turn of symmetry. We do want to use Polygroups because that's why we split it up into different Polygroups so we could use that. And just hit Unwrap. And this is just going to take a few moments. ZBrush is splitting all these Polygroups up into different UV Shells, and it's trying to find the best way to flatten them out…
