- We have some really nice silhouettes, but that isn't going to sell our character concept. We need to add some X dimension to these guys in order to make them stand out. Let's do some light painting and really bring this design to the next level. O.K., so as you can see I have some more silhouettes in this scene, it's a little bit more for us to choose from, and what we want to do next is bring in some light, O.K.? We want to bring in a key light and bring in a rim light, and really help solidify the forms, and also kind of help us know which silhouette we want to push forward because some of these we might get light painted on and realize we don't like them anymore. So let's open up a new layer, and we're going to use the same brush here, and what I want to do is kind of choose a medium gray, and what I want to do is just kind of come in here and just kind of paint some of these forms, and I can be really loose with this still.
