Limitations of ZModeler

- [Narrator] While the ZModeler brush is a welcome addition for polygon level editing of models, there are some things that it can't do. Let's understand how best to use it by seeing some ways that it shouldn't be used. So, most 3D modeling software allows you to have N-gons, or polygons with more than four sides. However, in ZBrush, this is never allowed. And that's also true for the ZModeler brush. Now, if you're used to modeling something like Maya, or blender, or 3DS Max, you know that even though five and six sided polygons aren't ideal, you can at least create them temporarily on your way to building something else. However, in ZBrush, this is completely not allowed. So unfortunately, it does limit some of the ways that we can work. So if we zoom in, for example, turn on our wireframe, in other 3D modeling software, there's tools that might be called a cut tool or a knife tool or a slice polygon tool, which just…
