Making the clip hole
- Before live booleans were introduced in Zbrush 4r8, making complex hard surface models like this was very difficult to do. Now we can make the shapes we want and edit them at will. Let's practice some more by making a hole at the end of the knife body, so that it could be attached to a clip or hung on a peg. So, I'm going to make a subtraction object to create a hole through this part of the body. And so what I'm going to do is attach or append a cylinder for that. So let's just go to append and cylinder 3D, we'll go ahead and make this the active subtool, and what we want to do is make this a subtractor for the body. Right now it's below the button, so we need to move this up a couple until it is underneath the body start group. Eventually I'm going to make this a subtraction object, but I don't want to do it right now, because that would make it invisible, because live boolean is currently turned on. So either don't put it in subtraction mode yet, or turn off live boolean when…
