- ZBrush sure comes with a lotta brushes, but there is one that doesn't come standard, but really should, a simple painting brush. In this video, I'll show you how to set one up and save it for future use. I've got a gargoyle here, and I wanna start painting some light and shadow on it. First, let's give it a base color of gray that we can then lighten or darken. Over here in our color palette, we can pick some different colors. Currently, the gargoyle is white, so let's fill it with this gray instead. Let's go to color, fill object. The standard way that you would make a painting brush is to get a normal brush, like the standard brush. If you don't have the standard brush active you can hit b+s+t to make it active. Then what you would do is you would turn off the ZAdd and ZSub so that it wouldn't do any sculpting, Then you'd turn on RGB mode. Now if we get, for example, a darker color, we could come in here and maybe start painting shadows in two different areas or painting different…
