Making a fillet

- [Instructor] One of the more common things you might want to do in ZBrush is combine two shapes together, but you don't want them to just join at a sharp angle. You want to have a smooth transition from one to the other. In technical terms, this is called a fillet. Not to be confused with a fillet like a fillet of fish. It's spelled the same, but totally different. Some 3D software, particularly CAD programs, have automated ways of filleting edges. But in ZBrush, you have to do it manually. It's not too hard so let's check it out. Okay, so we've got this exercise file open and let's say that we want to combine these arms with the body so there's a nice smooth transition between the two. First thing I want to do is combine them into the same subtool. Let's open up our subtools here and you can see we've got the dress active. We need to merge it with the arms and it looks like there's another arm down here. So what we can do is merge this down so let's go into merge and merge down and…
