Managing Polygroups and SubTools

While ZBrush has a feature that is supposed to export separate SubTools into one 3D printable model. I've found that sometimes it leaves out some SubTools. For that reason, I like to combine all my SubTools into one, for 3D printing. There are other functions that also benefit from having everything in one SubTool. Such as UV layout and Shelling. So, unless you know what you're doing, I'd definitely recommend following these steps. Let's see how it's done. Now there's a few different ways to merge these separate SubTools into one. Let's see one way here in the SubTool palette, let's go to Merge. And let's go to the top SubTool here, the head, and let's just click Merge Down. We just get a little pop-up reminding us that we can't undo this, so that's okay. I like to click Always OK, so I don't get this pop-up until next time I restart, and you can just go ahead and Merge the other ones as well. Another way to do it is to just click Merge Visible.
