Masking the scalp

- Depending on the style of hair you're making, there is a lot of different ways you can approach it. For our guy, he's got fairly short hair, that lays down close to the head. For this reason, I am going to use a technique, that involves sculpting the hair right on the head. Let's see how it's done. Let's start by masking out the area on the head where the hair should grow out of. Now, you remember when we poly-grouped the ears, we're going to use that to make it easy to mask around the ears. So, let's Ctrl Shift click on the ear, and then Ctrl Shift click on the ear one more time. So, with the ears hidden, it's going to be easier to mask around them. Now let's just mask off every part where the hair should cover. You might want to look at your reference images to see exactly where this line should go.
