Organizing the mesh with PolyGroups

- As you work on sculpting a face, you'll sometimes find that it would be helpful to organize it into manageable pieces. Maybe you want to be able to easily isolate the lower lip from the upper. Or, maybe you want to make it easy to hide the back of the head so that you can see into the inside. In this video, I'll show you how to use Polygroups to organize the model for easier sculpting. First, lets use Polygroups to isolate the ears. Let's go down in our subdivision levels to the lowest level by hitting shift D a few times. And let's zoom in on the ears. Now, hold down control and paint a mask over the entire ear. And let's make sure we got it from the back side, as well. And the top. And let me just hold down control and alt to paint away anything that I accidentally masked. Okay, looks good. Now, with this masked, let's go to the Polygroups sub palette and click on Group Masked Clear Mask. The hot key for this is control W. So it might not look like much happened, but if you turn…
