- [Instructor] While ZBrush excels at sculpting, I'll be honest. It's not a very advanced 3D painting solution. I do use it for painting a lot, but only because it's more work to try to juggle assets between other softwares. While the color painting tools are a bit rudimentary, you can still get some quality results. It just might not be as robust or capable as other programs. That being said, there are some very good features as well. So let's get an overview of what can be done. So pretty much any brush can be turned into a painting brush. So right now I just have the standard brush active, and by default, it's in ZAdd mode, which means it adds volume sculpturally to a model. But if we go into RGB mode and turn off ZAdd mode, essentially we've turned this into a paintbrush.
