Primitives and initialize settings
- [Instructor] In terms of generating new geometry to work with, we have touched on some of the most useful methods within (mumbles) like, dynamesh, (mumbles) brushes and distract operation. But you can also start on your project using primitive shapes. And these are actually quite cool because you can tweak the initial setting before you turning them into a mesh. Let me just show you how powerful they can be. Let's go ahead and click on the active tool thumbnail. From the tool palate and you'll see a list of basic 3D meshes. Let's go ahead and select the sweep profile 3D. And you should be able to see it in the canvas. Now let's scroll all the way down to the initialize sub palate and let's go ahead and expand that. And these settings control the initial state of this primitive object. So if you select any of the sculpting brushes and you try to sculpt on it right now, it will give you an error basically saying that you need to convert this 3D primitive into a poly mesh 3D. Which is…
