Projecting texture without projecting shape

- ZBrush has a great feature called project, which allows you to take one surface, and shrinkwrap it on to another. It's usually used as a way to get detail from a scan, or a rough sculpt onto a version of the model that has been re-topologized. The feature allows you to project shape alone, or shape with color, but what if you want to just project color alone? In this video, I will show you how. Let's see what we've got in this scene. Open up my sub tools here. We've got one model in here called scan. Let me zoom in so we can see what this is. I'm going to hit shift F to turn on wireframe. You can see, it's messy scan data. It's just a lot of triangles, just kind of mashed together, giving you the overall shape. It's also got some flaws in it, like holes, where the scanner didn't quite catch everything, but it has a texture map. I'm going to hit shift F to turn off wireframe.
