Reducing polygon count with Decimation Master

3D printing can take advantage of high polygon counts in a way that models for animation and games cannot. However, there are still limitations. While it may be possible to print models that have 50 million polygons, you'll find that your computer or printer might have trouble dealing with all that data. For this reason, I use Decimation Master to reduce polygon counts while, at the same time, retaining all the detail. Let's see how it works. So, here we have a model that was originally made for animation. Let's zoom in on his face and see what we have here. So, if I hit Shift+D to go down in subdivision levels a few times, you can see that this model is made up of subdivision levels. I'm going to hit Shift+F to turn on wire frame to make that even more clear. Now, I'm going to hit D a few more times to go up to the highest subdivision level.
