Stroke type and alphas for detailing
- [Instructor] The stroke and the alpha are two very important features about the brush system that we haven't properly discussed. But as we progress with our creature project, we're getting closer to start refining and generating some finer details, and therefore, it's a good time now to introduce these tools. The stroke essentially determines how the brush is applied. So for instance, if we select the standard brush, and we click on the thumbnail below the brush to bring these stroke types, we can choose between all of these. The dots, which is the default for the standard brush, is very similar to the freehand, this one here. The real difference is that the freehand stroke adds more instances of the brush while you're drawing the stroke, which makes the lines appear smoother, but sometimes it can be a little bit slower.
