Using the Clip and Trim brushes

- [Narrator] When you're sculpting in the real world, you can often just take a knife and slice off any parts you don't want. The closest thing to that in ZBrush is the clip and trim brushes. So let's see how they work. The clip and trim brushes work by holding down control and shift. Now, by default that brings up the select rectangle brush and that's not what we want right now. So let's click on the brush icon and let's change this to clip circle. Now we can hold down shift and control and drag a circle over part of the model. Now a couple things to note. This clip brush by default preserves anything inside this circle, and it takes everything else and kind of squishes it up against the shape of that circle. So that's probably not what you want. So let's hit control Z to undo that. And now let's try again by holding down control and shift, dragging this out, and now also hold down alt. Which if you remember is going…
