Using Paint Fade - ZBrush Tutorial
From the course: ZBrush 2020 Essential Training
Using Paint Fade
- [Instructor] When working on painted modules in Zbrush, sometimes it's useful to see the painted color, and sometimes that color information can be distracting, if you need to make sculptural edits. New to Zbrush 2020, you can now fade out the color information to make it easier to see the sculptural form underneath it. Let's see how. Okay so we've got this 3D scan of a monument here, it could be tricky to see how much of this detail is in the color information, and how much of it is actually in the 3D sculptural form of it. One thing you can always do in Zbrush, is just click on this little brush here in the sub-tool pallet, and that'll just turn off the colors. Now we can see just what is 3D geometry. Now a lot of time in a case like this, you might want to come in and start resculpting some of the details that are missing here. But it would be useful to be able to see a guide of what that detail in the color looks…
