Using ZSketch
- [Instructor] Another unique way to create objects is a cousin to ZSpheres called ZSketch. It's a more freeform way to create shapes. It can be a little finicky, and there's a lot more advanced things you can do with them than I can go into here. However, I have found it to be a great way to make new objects that need to be built on the surface of another object. Let's see how it works. Now, ZSketching needs to be made on a ZSphere subtool. Right now, in our scene, we just have this polymesh object. So, let's append a ZSphere. Now, what's interesting about Zsketch is that ZSketching can be made on any object that is visibile in your scene, not just the currently selected subtool or ZSphere. So, let's select the Zsphere, and let's go ahead and scale it down, because it's a little bit big. It's kind of popping through, so I'm just going to click and drag on this to scale it down. Okay, going back to Draw Mode. Okay…
