What you should know

- [Lecturer] In this course we're going to be working with two different software, during the first part of the course we'll be modeling and producing the objects in ZBrush 2018.1 and later on we'll be moving on to KeyShot 8 Pro to render our images. To follow along with this course you'll need to have access to a working copy of ZBrush 2018.1 and KeyShot 8 Pro. However, most of the techniques and features described in this course are not specific to this software version. So, for example, if you have ZBrush 4R8 you should be able to access the Live Boolean operation and Live Boolean is a process that we'll be using often throughout the course. Also, I'm using the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge, this is an additional piece of software that connects the ZBrush and KeyShot software directly. If you don't have this piece of software you can export objects and the projects from ZBrush as FBX files and go ahead and import them into KeyShot manually. If you don't know how to do this, don't worry, I'm going to explain this method step-by-step later on in the rendering part of the course. And finally, you don't have to be an expert in ZBrush or KeyShot and I'll do my best to explain things clearly. But having some prior knowledge of how ZBrush work will definitely help you pick up some of the techniques a bit faster.
